Performance KUNST – Atlanta – 368 PONCE

In collaboration with 368 PONCE, we are seeking artists to create performance art pieces to be featured in a one-day group show on June 11th 2016.

The show is open to all artists, including those who have not previously done performance art. We are seeking ideas that risk failure, ideas not designed or choreographed only to entertain or be a spectacle. The goal of the performance, instead, should be to connect with the space and the audience in a unique way, placing a strong focus on the here and now.  We wish to generate a platform for exploration and experimentation where artists can play in tandem with the audience.  Artists are responsible for their own transportation to and from venue, but accommodation is available for visiting artists.

The selected group of artists will spend one day prior to the event at 368 PONCE getting acquainted with the space and attending an optional group activity workshop.

If you feel you have a good idea, don’t wait until the deadline: reach out, say hello, and we can start a dialogue.

Deadline for proposals: May 1st 2016

The Criteria

Performances should run either

1) 45 minutes or less, or

2) the duration of the event (approximately 4 hours).

Participating artists will need to provide their own materials and props.

To apply, submit a one page proposal (200-500 words), CV, Biography (100 words max), and 5 examples of previous performances/work, to info@performancekunst.com.
